Ben Hogan Golf Continues With Bettinardi Golf
Expanded 2004 Putter Line to Include U.S. Open Champ's Favorite "Baby Ben"
Chicopee, MA, November 20, 2003

Ben Hogan, a brand of The Top-Flite Golf Company, and Bettinardi Golf - two premium golf manufacturers with a reputation for the ultimate in technology, performance, precision, craftsmanship and quality - have renewed their agreement to continue production of BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi putters. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The alliance, first announced at the 2003 PGA Show, had stellar success in its inaugural season. The BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi putters captured the attention of many, generated strong sales, and received rave reviews; however, it was a prototype "Baby Ben" first used by Jim Furyk during the U.S. Open Golf Championship that drew national attention and demand.

"A great win at the U.S. Open set the table for our first-year success," stated Lou Tursi, executive vice president of sales and marketing for The Top-Flite Golf Company. "The demand for the BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi putter line is better than we ever imagined, and we're thrilled to continue our alliance with Bettinardi Golf. We have great products in the pipeline for 2004."

Furyk claimed the U.S. Open Championship on June 15 using the "Baby Ben" prototype and went on to win the Buick Open in Grand Block, MI on August 3. He finished fourth on the PGA money list in 2003, while claiming more than $3 million dollars using the BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi "BABY BEN" putter.

"Furyk's U.S. Open was a great coming out party for the "Baby Ben" prototype, and it happened right in our own backyard," stated Bob Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf, whose manufacturing facility is located in Tinley Park, IL. "We're thrilled to continue our association with such a reputable brand as BEN HOGAN and we are ecstatic to work with tour players of Furyk's caliber."

Mike Ferris, vice president of marketing for Ben Hogan Golf, said the full 2004 BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi putter line, headlined by the BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi "Baby Ben", will be unveiled at the 2004 PGA Show.

"The BEN HOGAN brand remains committed to providing the finest feeling, best performing, and best looking putters," added Ferris. "Bob Bettinardi's team exemplifies craftsmanship, artistry, and Mr. Hogan's values. The fact that consumers realize this is an impetus for growth."

As part of its continuing agreement, Bettinardi will manufacture a line of putters worldwide exclusively for Ben Hogan Golf with the exception of Japan. Bettinardi will continue to market putters in Japan where it is number two in market share. BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi putter heads will continue to be milled in Tinley Park, IL and assembled at the Ben Hogan Golf production facility in Ft Worth, TX, while sales representatives of The Top-Flite Golf Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Callaway Golf Company, will handle all sales and distribution.

Bettinardi, whose operations are in Tinley Park, IL, produced putters for numerous OEM's. In 1998, he developed his own line of putters only to become the number two putter on the Japanese tour. PGA Tour players and Ben Hogan staffers including Jim Furyk, Luke Donald, and Mark Brooks already play with Bettinardi putters.

For 50 years, the BEN HOGAN brand has been inspired by Mr. Hogan's ability to grasp the mechanics of the game and translate them into the finest instruments. The Ben Hogan Company was formed in 1953, with a quest to make golf equipment "as close to perfect as modern tools and technology would allow." Today the team of Ben Hogan craftsmen continues to build Ben Hogan golf equipment one club at a time, ever mindful of Mr. Hogan's vision of perfection for the equipment that bears his signature. Ben Hogan Golf manufactures BEN HOGAN APEX, APEX EDGE PRO, APEX FTX and EDGE CFT* irons, BEN HOGAN special wedges, featuring the new COLONIAL, RIVIERIA and CARNOUSTIE wedges, BEN HOGAN by Bettinardi putters, and the BEN HOGAN APEX TOUR golf ball.
