Chicopee, MA, January, 2004

The Top-Flite Golf Company will be well represented by both captains at the 35th edition of the Ryder Cup Matches to be played at Oakland Hills Country Club, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, September 17-19.

Hal Sutton, who accepted the U.S. Ryder Cup captaincy last October, will continue to represent the BEN HOGAN brand in 2004 while Bernhard Langer, who will serve as captain of the European Team for next year's 35th Ryder Cup Matches, will represent TOP-FLITE on both the PGA and European Tours.

"We are thrilled to have Bernhard and Hal, two of the greatest ambassadors of the game, represent our company and both our TOP-FLITE and BEN HOGAN brands, respectively," stated Lou Tursi, executive vice president of sales, marketing, and customer service. " Both are gentlemen of the game who epitomize class and a level of professionalism that make our company proud."

According to Tursi, Sutton and Langer are natural fits for the company's brand strategy on tour.

"Our focus on tour in 2004 is to strike a good balance among premier players, proven players, and prospective players for both the TOP-FLITE and BEN HOGAN brands," added Tursi. "Bernhard and Hal are clearly premier players who contribute to the development of the great products they play and validate the equipment through their success."

Sutton, who will play the BEN HOGAN APEX Irons and BEN HOGAN golf ball, will wear a BEN HOGAN hat and glove, and carry a BEN HOGAN bag. He has played on four Ryder Cup teams and was the anchor of the 1999 U.S. team that rallied on the final day to beat Europe at Brookline. He will be tasked with bringing the Ryder Cup back to the United States after the Europeans last won by the largest margin in 17 years.

"There have been many great players who have captained the Ryder Cup before me, but the fact that Mr. Hogan himself was a Ryder Cup captain makes the honor much more special. I knew Mr. Hogan personally, and I have great respect for what he stood for," stated Sutton.

Langer, who has endorsed the BEN HOGAN brand the past few years, will continue to play BEN HOGAN APEX irons but he will transition into playing a TOP-FLITE STRATA TOUR ACET golf ball, wearing a TOP-FLITE hat and golf glove, and carrying a TOP-FLITE golf bag.

Langer, 45, is the 19th golfer to captain a European Ryder Cup Team against the United States, and the first from Germany to be accorded the honor.

"It's a fabulous honor to be named European Captain and to join Hal with this honor," said Langer. "I've never made a secret of how much I enjoy being part of The Ryder Cup, and to be the Captain makes me feel very proud, especially as the first German golfer to hold this prestigious role."

The Top-Flite Golf Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Callaway Golf Company and is the world's largest golf ball manufacturer.
