Ben Hogan Irons Capture 2nd PGA Tour Win In Two Weeks
Carlos Franco Wins U.S. Bank Championship
Chicopee, MA, July 26, 2004
Carlos Franco
captured the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee for the second
time in his career playing with BEN HOGAN APEX F·T·X
irons. His outstanding performance of 13-under-par 267 was good
enough for a two-shot victory. Franco’s performance had many
highlights, but the most outstanding was his Greens in Regulation
(GIR). Franco hit 76.4% of his greens, ranking him 2nd overall for
the week.
This is the second week in a row that a PGA
Tour Professional has won using BEN HOGAN irons. Jonathan Byrd captured
the B.C. Open last week with an impressive total of 20-under-par
268.
The U.S. Bank Championship is not the only stop
on the PGA Tour where Franco has recorded multiple wins. He has
won twice in New Orleans as well, and these two events alone add
up to all of Franco’s wins (four) on U.S soil. Franco last
won the Milwaukee tournament in 1999 when it was known as the Greater
Milwaukee Open.
